Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the GCUA in an amount not less than ten percent (10%), but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The GCUA reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the GCUA. Reconstruction of existing bathroom / locker room / shower facility in existing Maintenance Workshop includes limited wall demolition, removal of all existing plumbing fixtures, floor finishes, suspended ceiling grid and lights, and lockers; reconfiguration of walls - block and framed; cutting of slab to install new sanitary lines from new fixtures to existing sanitary main; installation of new fixtures, accessories, stall partitions, lights, lockers, floor finishes, and other items as necessary and as indicated.
