Site work and new construction of a road / highway in Frankfort, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a road / highway; and for site work for a road / highway.

Construction of polypropylene barrier walls across districts 1-10. This solicitation is to award a master agreement for all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to complete projects to stop bank erosion at various locations throughout the state. Installation locations and quantities will be furnished to the Vendor through a written Transportation Delivery Order. For each project, the vendor will be responsible for providing any/all line items as directed by the Engineer. Line Item Descriptions: Bags: All sizes of the barriers will have a minimum of an 18 inch opening at the top that is appropriately located so as to completely fill the barrier, and shall have a trapezoidal shape. The base of the barrier will be a minimum of 18 inches wider than the height of the barrier. The barrier will be baffled a maximum of every 3 feet. The barrier will be made of a minimum of 5 oz. polypropylene. The barrier material will be tested in accordance with ASTM Standards D-5035-06 and D-5630. The barrier will be capable of being put together in order to make a continuous barrier. The barrier must be of sufficient strength to maintain the needed amount of material (concrete, gravel, sand, stone, or millings). Minimum quantity of bag length is 50' and additional lengths will be in 50' increments. Bag fill material may be provided by the Cabinet, if available, as directed by the Engineer. Installation Equipment: This item to include equipment necessary to position, manage, and install the polypropylene barrier wall at the specified location. Installation equipment will only be paid for at the hourly rate while in use. On-Site Tech Support: Provide on-site technical support covering all aspects of installation. Mobilization: Descriptions in line items for bag deployment mobilization, heavy equipment mobilization, routine mobilization, and emergency mobilization. Bag deployment mobilization includes equipment for bag installation. Heavy equipment mobilization includes trackhoe and backhoe mobilization. Routine Mobilization is 30 days response time. Emergency Mobilization is 5 days response time.
