In general, the work on this project consists of the complete replacement of the Pebble Beach Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for the Township of Ocean located in Ocean County, New Jersey. The work includes, but is not limited to, the complete demolition of the existing WTP and the complete construction and placing into service of a new replacement treatment plant, including the construction of a new water treatment plant building, new iron and manganese removal treatment system, new chemical feed systems including a lime slurry feed system for pH and hardness adjustment and sodium hypochlorite feed system for pre-filtration oxidation and post-disinfection, and a complete filter backwash wastewater handling and decant (supernatant return) system. The new treatment building shall be constructed of CMU block with exterior finished vinyl siding and A-frame roofing system. The upgrades shall be installed with all necessary treated water and sanitary piping, valves and appurtenances, electrical, instrumentation and controls, connections to the existing system, building modifications, and structural improvements necessary to support the structures. The deadline for submission of requests for information will be June 30th, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer The Township of Ocean reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Township of Ocean, in accordance with applicable law. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Township of Ocean in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
