Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals electronically through use of Cit-E-Bid or in person via hand delivery. Mailed bids (i.e. USPS, FedEx, UPS), telegraphic, emails or facsimile bids will not be considered. Furnish labor, materials, tools, appliances , services, and facilities ; perform work and services for accomplishments and completion of all work indicated on drawings, if applicable, and described in these specifications, in accordance with all portions of Contract Documents, Change Orders issued thereto, and Building Code. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing boarding of one (1) door facing Lincoln Street, work for boarding and subsequent securing of the building structures indicated in the Notice to Bidders. The project will involve "partial" boarding of the door and unstable portion of the existing building. (See attached specification drawings detailing the partial boarding area and details of the scope of work.) All remaining debris, weeds, or brush on the lot(s) must be clean and disposed of properly at the City of Laredo Landfill . No cement foundation or parking area will be removed. Do not remove any healthy trees that are four (4) inches or more in diameter. Exceptions for the removal of such tress will be if the tree is in a dry, unsafe, and unhealthy state. A specific determination of which tress will remain will be made on site. All other vegetation will be removed . Contractor must notify the Department of Building Development when lot(s) have been cleaned as per the scope of work for a scheduled inspection between Contractor and Building Development. Important Notice: Upon completion of boarding project, the Contractor must provide proof of disposal from the City of Laredo Landfill attached to the demolition invoice for a one lump-sum payment to the Contractor. PROJECT PROCEDURES Coordinate work of trades and schedule elements of work by procedures and methods to expedite completion of work. In addition to any boarding specified and that specifically shown; cut, move, or remove items as necessary to allow new work to proceed including items as follows: 1. Repair of removal of hazardous or unsanitary conditions. 2. Removal of abandoned items and items serving no useful purpose, such as abandoned piping, conduit, and wiring. 3. Removal of unsuitable or extraneous materials, such as abandoned slabs, foundations, and debris. 4. For those properties with swimming pools the slab, foundation, and other materials associated with the swimming pools must be removed and filled with dirt.
