The City of Vineland Water Utility is going out for bid on two types of Fire Hydrant for inventory in replacing older, unrepairable hydrants. For fire hydrants in center city where the water main is 4 inch, the two-way hydrant is suitable. Elsewhere where the water main is 6 inch and above the three-way hydrant is best for this application. The Mueller fire hydrant is the brand being requested, this brand has been installed in over 98% of the Water Utility's distribution system. The Water Utility warehouse has stocked only Mueller fire hydrant fittings & repair kits for the continued maintenance of these hydrants. The fire hydrants should be UL 246 listed, FM 1510 approved, comply with AWWA Standard C502 and UL Water Quality certified to ANSI/NSF 61-372.
