The Board requests bids for Unit Ventilator Replacements at the Joseph F. Cappello Elementary School as shown in the Contract Documents. Bids must comply with the Contract Documents and will be received for a combined bid for all work (single prime). Due to the special nature of the work that can only be seen through an in-depth site visit, all bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a pre-bid conference at the project site to ensure an equal understanding of the scope of work. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority as stated in the Contract Documents before bid submission. All bidders, subcontractors, and sub-subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor, with proof of registration included in the bid. The bid must include a bid security of 10% of the bid price, not to exceed $20,000, and a consent of surety, in the required form. No oral or other communications during the bidding process shall bind the Board except for written addenda. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure timely receipt of the bid. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding process, as permitted by law, if it is in the Board's interest to do so. Bidders are required to comply with affirmative action and equal employment requirements under N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. The Work under this Contract consists of the removal and replacement of existing unit ventilators and integral shelving units at the Joseph F. Cappello School , together with all related demolition, piping reconnections, controls integration, finish restoration, testing, protection, phasing, and incidental work necessary to provide a complete and fully operational installation. Existing exterior louvers and fresh-air intake openings shall remain and be reused. New unit ventilators shall be connected to existing chilled water and hot water supply and return piping systems, with all associated work required to place the systems into proper operation. Spaces affected include classrooms / educational spaces. Question Deadline 07/14/2026 Should any error, omission, inconsistencies or obscure wording appear or occur in the Drawings and Specifications, or should there by any discrepancies between Drawings and Specifications, the bidder shall, before submitting his bid , apply to the Architect in writing to DIGroupArchitecture, 15 Bethany Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 for an interpretation and determination of the intent of the Drawings and Specifications. Requests for such interpretations, to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
