Scope of work includes the construction of a relocated force main from the existing Tanglewood pump station. The work consists of the construction of approximately 19,980 LF of 20" force main, 161 LF of 24" gravity sewer, 10 air release valves, 422 LF of 36" casing pipe, installation of new pumps at the Tanglewood pump station and other miscellaneous work. Contractors must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes at the time of bid opening to perform the work described herein as the general contractor and must have the proper licensing governing their respective trades. A 5% Bid Bond will be required at time of opening bids. 100% Performance & Payment Bonds will be required of the awarded contractor. Compliance with the City/County Utility Commission's Minority and Women Business Enterprise program is required on this project. The M/WBE subcontracting goals for this project are 6% MBE and 4% WBE and must be met separately. Bidders are encouraged to carefully read and understand the contents of the Bidding Documents.
