Renovation of a fire / police facility in Vestal, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Sealed proposals are sought for the proposed work to resurface the concrete floor in the apparatus bay of Station #1. The Vestal Fire District s seeking proposals from interested parties for the purpose of: Concrete Floor Resurfacing - Station 1 Truck Bay . Bids must be enclosed in a sealed, post-paid package marked for concrete floor resurfacing at Station #1 and addressed to the Vestal Fire District Office. Proposals must be made on the bidder's letterhead and signed by an authorized representative. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty days after the opening but may withdraw it any time prior to the scheduled closing time for reception of bids. Bid specifications are available at the Fire District's Office and may also be sent in PDF format if all company contact information is provided in the request. The Vestal Fire District reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of thirty days after the bid opening to check bidder qualifications and to obtain any necessary approvals from the State of New York. Location- 116 N Main St Vestal, NY 13850 The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision , materials, equipment, tools, incidentals, and disposal necessary to remove existing floor coatings, prepare and repair the concrete substrate, and install a complete commercial-grade polyurea/polyaspartic flake floor coating system in the Station 1 truck bay. The work shall include, at a minimum: 1. Pre-installation inspection of the designated work area(s). 2. Mechanical grinding of the concrete surface to remove existing coatings, loose material, contaminants, and debris, and to profile the concrete substrate for coating application. 3. Repair of existing cracks, pits, and spalled areas using a high-strength concrete repair/mender product suitable for polyurea/polyaspartic coating systems. 4. Grinding and profiling of repaired areas flush with surrounding concrete. 5. Application of a commercial-grade polyurea base coat. 6. Full broadcast of polymer/vinyl decorative flake system in a color selected by the District from the Contractor's standard commercial color offerings. 7. Scraping and vacuuming of loose and standing flakes to achieve a uniform broadcast surface. 8. Application of two (2) coats of commercial-grade polyaspartic topcoat over the full coated area. 9. Final cleaning of the work area and removal of all job-related debris generated by the Contractor The finished surface shall be continuous, uniform in appearance, and free of visible pinholes, missed areas, delamination, and other installation defects when viewed under normal lighting conditions. 3. Existing Floor Conditions The Contractor shall field-verify existing conditions prior to bid submission. Bidders shall note that the scope includes repair of existing cracks, pits, and localized surface defects, but does not require slab replacement, structural concrete reconstruction, or floor re-leveling. Any work determined by the Contractor to be outside the defined scope (e.g., major structural slab repairs or leveling) shall be identified in writing as a separate optional item and shall not be included in the base bid unless expressly stated. Installation and Scheduling Requirements o Coordinate work with the Vestal Fire District to minimize operational impacts. Maintain emergency apparatus access as directed by the District, except within the active work area. Follow manufacturer environmental and substrate preparation requirements. The Contractor shall provide the District with written curing/use restrictions and anticipated return-to-service times. At a minimum, the Contractor shall state the earliest times after installation that the floor may be walked on and returned to heavy vehicle traffic.
