The project consists of roof replacement, interior ceiling demolition and replacement, curtain wall removal and replacement with a storefront system, concrete floor repair work, existing hydraulic lift removal and hydraulic equipment relocation, demolition and replacement of HVAC equipment, and all other work as indicated on the plans and in the specifications. Alternates include furnishing and installing heat pump units in lieu of cooling only condensing units, installation of a hard-coat EIFS system, and exterior painting. Each proposal must be accompanied by fully executed copies of the Fair Employment Practices Affidavit and the Affidavit of Compliance: Responsible Bidder Ordinance. Bidder must have a permanent business office within forty miles of FRSA's office at 3501 Kishwaukee Street in Rockford, Illinois. All demolition, construction, installation, and associated project work shall be completed by the specified date. Bids must include an FRSA Bid Bond form with acceptable Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in the full amount of the bid or proposal. No bid shall be withdrawn without FRSA's consent for a period of sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
