The Old City Hall properties at 202 North Alabama and 222 North Alabama Street include the historic Old City Hall building and an adjacent vacant parking lot. The Old City Hall building occupies a 0.66-acre parcel and is approximately 85,000 square feet across four floors and a basement. The adjacent parking lot is 0.65 acres. Proposals are invited for mixed housing and commercial/retail development on the parking lot, for preservation and repurposing of the Old City Hall building, or for redevelopment of both properties. Proposals should include street-level activation and compatible development with neighboring districts, while being sensitive to historic preservation considerations for both properties.
