The function of this device is providing the access to the upper and lower studs in Powercon POWERVAC type switchgear, so the following tests can be performed: -Grounding line or load bus -Applying Test Voltages to line or load bus. The Ground and Test Device is designed to meet applicable ANSI Standards. Proper installation and maintenance are necessary to insure continued satisfactory operation of the device. The following instruction will provide information for placing the device in service and for maintaining satisfactory operation. Since a clear conception of the function of all parts is helpful in understanding the operation and during installation and maintenance periods, a brief description of the design and operating principles is also given.
