Description

Renovation of a military facility in Trenton, New Jersey. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Construct a new 400 kW photovoltaic (PV) array integrated with a 1.5 MW battery energy storage system (BESS), a microgrid controller, and two 500 kW natural gas generators. Provide and install all required electrical infrastructure to connect the PV array and BESS to the existing electrical system, including integration with the EVCF and Building 678 through the existing transformer. The system shall support redundancy in electrical distribution and enable black start capability, allowing seamless transition between grid power, resilient on-base power, and generator sources. All components shall be interconnected and managed by a microgrid control system. The project also includes installation of fire suppression systems, utilities, communications, site improvements, and associated support facilities. Work shall comply with applicable Department of Defense, Air Force, and base design standards, including Unified Facilities Criteria for general building requirements and antiterrorism/force protection, and incorporate local materials and construction techniques where cost effective. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
