The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to establish dog enclosures with ADA accessible entry vestibules, a drinking fountain with a pet bowl, and additional dog park amenities. The work includes the removal of existing improvements encountered within the limits of work, including sidewalks, landscaping, and other miscellaneous surface and subsurface improvements that conflict with construction. No formal construction documents prepared by a licensed architect or engineer are included with this bid package. Only a conceptual exhibit showing general improvement locations has been provided. Detailed limits of work and specific site requirements shall be field-verified and directed by the ENGINEER. The limits of work, quantities, and specific improvements to be removed or modified shall be determined in the field by the Engineer. Time for Completion. Time is of the essence in the performance of work under this contract. All work shall be completed in every detail to the satisfaction of the Engineer, exclusive of Maintenance Periods, within 30 working days after the commencement date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages: The Liquidated Damages for failure of the CONTRACTOR to complete the work within the Contract Time set forth in the Notice to Proceed are in the sum of one thousand, five hundred dollars ($1,500) per consecutive day in excess of the contract time.
