Providing design-build services for the modernization of the fire alarm system at the IRS headquarters, including full design and installation of a new digital/addressable network voice evacuation system, a bi-directional amplifier (BDA) two-way radio communications enhancement system, and a two-way communication system. The work includes all required wiring, raceways, control equipment, alarm and supervisory initiating devices, notification appliances, and all associated components necessary to deliver fully operational systems. The project also includes integration with and monitoring of existing remote fire alarm control panels serving elevators, computer rooms, and other areas, while keeping those devices in place. Construction will be performed within an occupied federal facility during non-operating hours, requiring the existing fire alarm system to remain operational throughout execution. The effort concludes with demolition and proper recycling or disposal of the existing system. Services include contract management, architect/engineer services, construction, materials, labor, supervision, and professional inspection and testing.
