The work generally consists of removal and replacement of existing concrete sidewalk panels, concrete spandrels, and concrete curb and gutter. It also includes miscellaneous work such as the removal and installation of pavers, installation of retaining walls, and associated concrete improvements. Additional tasks include asphalt pavement restoration, such as milling, asphalt removal, full-depth asphalt repairs, asphalt paving, crack sealing and filling, slurry seal, seal coat, placement of aggregate base, and preparation of subgrade. Other work includes tree wells, soil export and import, root barrier installation, implementation of all required BMPs, stormwater and erosion control, public notifications, and all necessary traffic control. All work must conform to the guidelines of the San Diego Regional Drawings and Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (latest edition and supplement) including landscaping installation standards. Bidders are required to submit bids for Base Bid Items. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder for the Base Bid Items. Unit prices prevail over extended total and grand total prices. Late bids will not be accepted. The description of Base Bid Items must be submitted with the bid.
