The U.S. Army TMDE Activity requires maintenance and repair or replacement of its laboratory environment systems at the TMDE Support Center, Letterkenny Army Depot, 5240 Technology Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201. The scope includes replacement of four units in the lab, specifically replacing four evaporators on existing indoor units (retaining the metal structure and replacing internal components), four condensing units, and replacing rooftop units via crane. Existing temperature and humidity controllers for each of the four labs will be removed and replaced with PLC controllers, which will be housed in new 24x24 NEMA enclosures. A new standalone PC with VT SCADA will be provided to monitor, trend, and store all data. The PLCs must be programmed to match the existing HVAC controls. New control panels will be installed and interfaced with existing equipment. Startup and training of the new control system must also be provided.
