Addendum will be issued by James City Service Authority Purchasing. Scope of Work The project involves the construction of a sanitary sewer pump station, referred to as Lift Station 1-9 by the James City Service Authority (JCSA). The current Lift Station 1-9 has reached the end of its useful life and replacement is necessary to maintain a standard level of service. This includes the demolition of existing infrastructure to facilitate the construction of a new building and wet well section, along with the installation of electrical systems and site restoration efforts. The JCSA shall provide the generator and transfer switch. Contractor shall verify and shall be responsible for all dimensions. Conduct pre-construction meeting with Stormwater, VDOT, and James City Service Authority. 6.5 Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and any VDOT required hours. 6.6 Install sedimentation and erosion control measures. Complete work as detailed in the drawings. Establish laydown/construction equipment and material staging area(s).The contractor shall be responsible for determining the exact locations of all existing utilities within the project area prior to construction operations and must contact Miss Utility (811) prior to the commencement of any construction activities. Contractor shall obtain all necessary VDOT and James City County permits to complete work. This includes but is not limited to the VDOT Land Use Permit and the Local Land Disturbing/Stormwater Construction Permit (VESMP Authority Permit) and Siltation Agreement with surety. Contractor shall comply with all HRPDC construction standards, JCSA Standards & Specifications (including the latest editions of the JCSA Standards and Specifications for Pump Stations and the JCSA Design & Acceptance Criteria for Water Distribution and Sanitary Sewer Systems), Federal, State and local codes and regulations. Dispose of off site all unwanted materials removed from the trench. Supply all pipe, fittings, appurtenances, bedding materials and suitable fill materials as needed to complete work. Supply all labor and equipment to complete work and site restoration. This is a Two-Step bid.
