The Project is located at five locations citywide and consists of installing 96 Level 2 Chargers (ports) and 4 Level 3 (DCFC) chargers (ports) at the specified locations. Contractors must comply with accelerated submittal and procurement requirements for electrical equipment and EV charging infrastructure as detailed in the Special Conditions. The timeframe for Substantial Completion of construction is 250 working days from the Notice to Proceed, with Final Completion planned for 60 working days after Substantial Completion. Only specified brands and models will be accepted: ChargePoint CP6621B-80A-L5.5, CP6611B-80A-L5.5, and 6613B-80A-L5.5 for Level 2 Chargers, and Kempower C801-P160-UN-5 for Level 3 Chargers. Bids must be submitted using the provided Bid Proposal form, accompanied by a bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and a Warranty Bond for 15% of the Contract Price. Bidders must possess a valid California C-10 (Electrical Contractor) license and either an A (General Engineering Contractor) or B (General Building Contractor) license at the time of bid opening and throughout the Project. All bidders and subcontractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. Each bidder must submit details for all First Tier Subcontractors performing work exceeding one-half of one percent of the bid price. The Project is subject to prevailing wage requirements, and the Contract will be monitored by the Department of Industrial Relations.
