Provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services on T.I.P. Project HB-0001A involving installation of conduits containing fiber optic cable and associated information technology services (ITS) improvements along the US-64 corridor from the I-95 interchange in Rocky Mount to the US-158/NC-12 intersection at Whalebone Junction in Nags Head. The private consulting firm will be responsible for providing an Assistant Resident Engineer and technicians with the appropriate skills and qualifications to perform inspection, erosion control inspection, permit compliance, materials sampling and testing, surveying grade verification, documentation of pay quantities and claims avoidance for a design-build contract and operate, maintain and commercialize contract. It is estimated that a maximum number of one (1) Resident Engineer, one (1) Assistant Resident Engineer and eight (8) technicians will be needed during the life of the contract for the bridge and roadway construction inspection The firms will be responsible for the tracking and billing various types of work orders or purchase orders for services performed. All prequalified firms who submit responsive letters of interest will be considered. Firms submitting LOIs are encouraged to carefully check them for conformance to the requirements stated above (and any other requirements in this Advertisement).
