This Project will continue the Passenger Loading Bridge (PLB) improvement program utilizing available FAA grant funding. The scope includes the installation of fourteen (14) new PLBs at IAH Terminal B South, where new PLBs are required to replace ground-loading operations . In addition, the Project will enhance accessibility and operational efficiency by installing thirty-eight (38) bridge mounted electric wheelchair lifts at existing gates, consisting of twenty (20) gates at IAH Terminal A and eighteen ( 18) gates at IAH Terminal D. The addition of bridge mounted electric wheelchair lifts will support the proper and safe transfer of passenger wheelchairs and other mobility devices between the aircraft and ramp, reducing the risk of damage associated with manual handling and improving the overall passenger experience The PLB scope of work will include turnkey manufacturing, shipping, required facility modifications, installation, training, and commissioning. The bridge mounted electric wheelchair lifts scope will similarly include turnkey manufacture, shipping, facility modifications, installation, training, provision of spare parts, and commissioning.
