Project Description: The extension of the Great Miami River Trail from Waterworks Park to just south of Gamay Lane at the existing terminus within Marsh Park. The project will include establishing a new pedestrian crossing utilizing rectangular rapid flashing beacons at River Road, just west of Groh Lane. Project includes approximately 6,000 feet of new 11' wide asphalt shared use path and the overlay of approximately 3,500 feet of existing 10' wide shared use path. Engineer's Estimate ($1,731,000): Detailed Location Information: between Waterworks Park at 5131 Groh Lane and Marsh Park at 6440 River Road Summary of other pertinent details: Work includes tree removal after October 1, earthwork, asphalt work, concrete work, pavement markings, signage, tree planting, seeding and mulching, and maintenance of traffic. Alternates shown on the plans are included in the base bid. SBE GOAL - 6% Bid prices must be firm for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days following the bid opening date. The City of Fairfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to correct or waive irregularities in bids should it be deemed in the best interest of the City of Fairfield, Ohio to do so. Work will be completed within 270 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Final paving must be completed by June 1, 2027.'
