Dredging of up to 6,520 total cubic yards of material located at three locations along Shem Creek including the Town-Owned Shrimp Docks, Floating Day Docks, and Fixed Leased Docks. Question Deadline 07/22/2026 at 12:00 PM ET The Work for this project generally includes the following activities: 1. Mechanical dredging of up to approximately 6,520 total cubic yards of material (including overdepth volume). The three areas include Area A (Shrimp Docks), Area B (Day Docks, and Area B (Leased Docks) with anticipated dredging volumes per area of 4,750, 750, and 1,020 cubic yards of material, respectively. Dredging shall be performed using a longreach excavator with a conventional bucket and placement into a floating barge. The material will then be transferred from the floating barge onto the upland at the old boat ramp at the Town-Owned Shrimp Docks. Dewatering methods shall be provided by the contractor. 2. Trucking and disposal to the disposal location at Donmar Sand Mine at 1411 Charity Church Rd, Huger, SC 29450. Alternate disposal areas are allowable. Alternate disposal areas are subject to approval of the Town, Engineer, and permitting agencies. 3. Environmental compliance, best management practices for minimizing sediment resuspension, and monitoring, as described in the project specifications, on the bid drawings, and state and federal regulatory permits . Best Management Practices that must be implemented include, but are not limited to, turbidity curtains, controlled dredging operations, and continual visual monitoring for water quality impacts
