Renovation of a military facility in Manchester, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
This narrative is not all-inclusive and must not limit the Contractor's responsibility to provide a complete and usable project that is compliant with all codes, standards, and government requirements. This construction project will be a design-build contract to include design, labor, materials, and equipment to replace the Tanks P1 and P2 and the Conglomerated Oil (CO) Day tank located at Manchester Fuel Depot (MFD). The scope of work is to provide three tanks and associated appurtenances to replace the existing tank systems that meet current design codes and government requirements. See Part 3 for the scope of work. The project site has two locations that are located in industrial area of Manchester Fuel Depot complex on the eastern part of the complex. Location A involves tanks P1 and P2, where the fueling station (building 206) that is located east of building 1. The tanks are underground tanks just to the east of building 206 which store gasoline and diesel fuels for ground vehicles. Building 206 consists of steel canopy structure over a concrete fueling island containing two dispensing fuel pumps. A concrete slab is around the island and over the two tanks. Most of the area around the site is asphalt pavement that is either vehicle travel area or parking. There is a vegetation area to the east. The site generally slopes from east to west with storm drainage catch basins. Location B involves the CO Day tank, where fuels are dumped into the tank for holding prior to transferring to bulk storage for treatment that is located east of the building 178. The CO tank is buried under concrete area to the east of building 178. Fuels are collected through funnel in the ground to the tank. The tank drains through building 178 via piping and a pump in the building. The building is a two-story building with grades on the east side at the second story, and grades to the west at the lower level. The area to the north is grass area that is slope to the west. There are above ground active and abandoned utilities within this grass area. Question Deadline 07/27/2026 PPIs will be accepted up to five business days following the site visit Magnitude of Construction projects: Between $ 1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
