Renovation of a municipal facility in Edinburg, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Coat and seal the entire roof of building 6017, Moore Air Base, Texas, with a quality elastomeric reflective roof coating and repair any roof leaks present that need more than just the coating to prevent leaks. Contractors must attend a site visit to acquire all roof repair/seal measurements and specifics. The approximate roof measurements are: 115 L X 75 W. Submit questions to james.g.roloff@usda.gov no later than July 30, 2026, at noon CT. 1. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Provide labor and materials to apply elastomeric reflective roof coating to the Greening Building. 3. Roof shall be power soft wash to remove excess dirt and grime for proper adhesion to the existing metal roof. Includes planning, equipment, and material acquisition, area preparation and protection, setup and cleanup. 4. Repair all areas with extensive roof damage causing water leaks into the building before new roof coat sealant is applied. 5. Install new heavy duty elastomeric reflective roof coating. 6. The new coating shall be applied on a clear, warm sunny day. Temperatures must be above 55F (12C) for 24 hours and rise, but not above 110F (43C). Apply with a 3/4" nap exterior paint roller or professional airless sprayer. First, apply one coat over all seems and joints and allow to cure for one hour or until dry. Then, apply two uniform coats, avoiding excessive rolling or spraying. Two coats are mandatory for all applications. Apply second coat perpendicular to first coat. 7. Minimum of two coats shall be applied to the roof allowing proper dry time between coats. 8. Communicate and protect the building surroundings from paint overspray or excess paint spillage. Any material over spray or material spillage will be the responsibility of the contractor to clean and make right/compensate. 9. Keep construction site clean and leave the surrounding area clean after project completion.
