The U.S. Coast Guard Contractor shall provide replacement and testing of galley hood systems that comply with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 96 - Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations. Contractors shall provide certified technicians. All services shall be provided for the following equipment but not limited to: Galley hood #1, Galley hood #2, ventilation system, electrical system and in accordance with NFPA, local, state and federal Fire Marshal code requirements and shall meet or exceed industry standards. All materials are subject to COR approval prior to installation. Contractors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance. All work shall be coordinated through the POC to minimize operational impacts on the unit during the execution of the work.
