Replacement of windows at Fire Station #1. The Fire District is seeking bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, testing, shop drawings, field measurements, disposal, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace all identified exterior windows at Fire Station #1 . The work shall include a complete and weather-tight installation suitable for an occupied, active emergency services building. 1. WORKSITE DESCRIPTION The work will occur at Fire Station # 1 , an active firehouse used for emergency response operations and regular administrative occupancy. Contractors shall perform the work in a manner that maintains safe access, minimizes disruption to emergency response readiness, and coordinates temporary opening protection, sequencing, and occupied-area impacts with Fire District personnel. 2. REQUIRED SERVICES The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following tasks: Field verification of existing window opening dimensions , conditions, wall thicknesses, anchorage conditions, access requirements, and related exterior and interior interface conditions before ordering materials. Removal and disposal of existing window units, associated glazing, fasteners, sealants, flashings, trim components, and incidental materials necessary to complete replacement work. Furnishing and installation of new commercial-grade replacement windows sized to existing openings and suitable for the building envelope conditions shown on the as-built drawings. Preparation of existing openings including cleaning, repair of minor substrate irregularities, and coordination of anchorage and fit. Installation of flashing, perimeter sealants, and drainage features necessary to provide a complete weather-tight installation. Interior and exterior protection of adjacent finishes and occupied spaces during construction. o Temporary weather protection for any opening left exposed during work. o Testing, adjustment, and closeout including inspection of operation where applicable, sealant completion, punch list correction, delivery of product data, maintenance data, and warranties All questions or requests for clarification must be submitted in writing to the contact listed in the Project Overview.
