Site work and new construction of a museum in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a museum; and for site work for a museum.

This requirement is for the fabrication, delivery, and installation of custom mixed media art displays and murals at the HDA CZ Hall Galley located in Point Loma. Please review the attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation in its entirety for proposal submission instructions. The contractor shall provide all personnel , equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to fulfill the requirements of the art installations as specified in this document. The work includes the creation of mixed media art with integrated photography, artist relief elements, and proper mounting/application to designated glass and drywall surfaces. Additional Requirements a. The contractor shall provide consultation services to gain an understanding of specific visual references to incorporate into the mural work that are expressive of the location, culture, interest, or desired aesthetic of the client. b. The contractor shall use a professional visual artist, design a mixed-media mural wall(s) that incorporates custom, commercial-grade wallpaper or high tach commercial grade vinyl, hand painted accents, high definition photography integration, LED lighting, wood, floating walls to create a 3 dimensional effect, and any other materials needed to enhance the overall look and feel of the space. (Consideration to the use of props, such as hanging décor, should be included and provided to further established the desired look and feel of the space.) The design should be artistic in nature and employ the use of stylization, fonts, negative and positive space, color, and texture to create a final look. c. The contractor shall provide a visual artist's draft using photo specific references of the space to show the full layout of elements, colors, textures, lighting, etc. d. The contractor shall asses and prepare all affected areas to ensure proper installation of mixed media mural wall(s). Preparation may include but not be limited to, removal of molding, preexisting fixtures, repairing of holes or uneven textures, application of necessary primer, etc. e. The contractor shall fabricate floating walls that create a three dimensional effect and layered aesthetic while simultaneously integrating walls into an overall cohesive design. f. The contractor shall install LED lighting (backlighting) integrated into floating walls that create visual interest and align with the overall look and feel of the space. The contractor shall ensure the proper wiring and wire management of all electronic elements. g. The contractor shall fabricate and install all visual aspects of mixed-media walls, including but not limited to, custom wallpaper or vinyl, hand- done painting, wood accents, veneers, stains or other specialty finishes. The contractor shall ensure the full design extends throughout floating walls while maintaining one cohesive look.
