Furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, testing, programming, startup, owner training, warranties, removal and disposal of existing equipment, surge protection, electrical connections, commissioning, and all incidentals necessary to replace the existing automatic slide gate operator and associated safety devices, restore the system to full operation, and provide a complete, tested, and fully functional automatic slide gate system in accordance with this Statement of Work. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, permits, testing equipment, disposal services, and incidentals necessary to remove the existing gate operating equipment and install a complete, fully operational automatic slide gate system. Work shall include, but is not be limited to, the following: 1. Removal of Existing Equipment o The Contractor shall: a. Coordinate work with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). b. De-energize the existing gate operator in accordance with applicable safety requirements. c. Disconnect and remove the existing automatic gate operator. d. Remove the existing controller and associated damaged components. e. Remove damaged photoelectric safety devices and safety edge devices as required. f. Remove damaged mounting hardware and miscellaneous accessories as necessary. g. Dispose of removed materials off Government property in accordance with applicable regulations unless otherwise directed by the COR. 2. Gate Operator Installation The Contractor shall furnish and install one (1) new commercial-grade automatic slide gate operator. The replacement operator shall: a. Be new and unused. b. Be designed for continuous-duty commercial operation. c. Be compatible with the existing slide gate. d. Meet or exceed the operating capacity of the existing system. e. Include all components necessary for complete operation. Installation shall include: f. Mounting the operator. g. Installing all required hardware. h. Connecting the drive chain. i. Adjusting chain tension. j. Programming controller settings. k. Adjusting travel limits. 1. Verifying smooth gate operation. Equivalent equipment meeting or exceeding these requirements may be provided.
