The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) is soliciting lump sum bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, permits, and incidentals necessary to install ceramic floor tile over existing epoxy flooring within designated areas of the Wasilla Pool facility. The work shall be completed in accordance with this Invitation to Bid, the attached exhibits, and all applicable codes and manufacturer requirements. This work must be completed by October 30, 2026. The Wasilla Pool locker rooms and adjacent circulation areas were recoated with a commercial epoxy flooring system in 2025. Although the coating remains in acceptable condition, the finished surface has proven to be excessively slippery in wet conditions. To improve public safety, the Borough intends to install a ceramic mosaic tile flooring system over the existing epoxy floor in designated areas of the facility. Existing ceramic tile located within shower areas and other identified locations shall remain unless specifically noted otherwise. The completed flooring system shall provide a durable, slip-resistant surface appropriate for a high-traffic aquatic facility.
