Installation of PVC water mains, abandonment of existing mains, connection of water services, removal and replacement of fire hydrants, installation of a pre-assembled pressure reducing valve station, and restoration of street, sidewalk, curb, gutter, and median surfaces. The description of scope of work for the "Callan Boulevard Water Main Replacement Project" project are as follows: The scope of work shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools and services required to perform all work for the proper and complete construction of the Callan Boulevard Water Main Replacement Project, which shall include but is not limited to the following specific requirements: A. Abandonment of existing water main. B. Installation of PVC C-900 Class 305 DR14 pipe water main and all appurtenances. C. Replacement and reconnection of fire hydrants. D. Replacement of existing pressure reducing valve with new package pre-assembled pressure reducing valve station. E. Traffic control and maintenance of pedestrian access. F. Import of clean fill. G. Project Sign. The work includes installing new polyvinyl chloride (PVC) water mains, abandoning existing water mains, connecting the water services to the new water main, removing and replacing and fire hydrants, and installing a new package pre-assembled pressure reducing valve station. All surface improvements impacted by the work shall be restored, including but not limited to the street, sidewalk, curb, gutter, and median per City standards.
