The project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials (except as otherwise specified), and performing all work necessary for the construction of approximately 1,860 linear feet of masonry screening wall replacement along Dalrock Road from south of Circleview Street to north of Trail Lake Drive, 220 square yards of alley replacement, 1 inlet replacement, and related appurtenances. The successful bidder will begin construction within 14 calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Substantial completion of the work will be achieved within 120 calendar days of the date indicated on the Notice to Proceed and final completion will be achieved within 30 calendar days after substantial completion. Each bid submitted shall be accompanied by a cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the maximum amount bid, payable without recourse to the City of Rowlett, or a Bid Bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the successful Contractor will execute a Construction Agreement with the City, including all required bonds and other documents. The successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of 115% of the contract amount, and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, as well as evidence of all required insurance coverage within ten (10) calendar days of notice of award. The successful Contractor shall also furnish a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount covering defects of material and workmanship for two calendar years following the City’s approval and acceptance of the construction. An approved surety company, licensed in the State of Texas, shall issue all bonds in accordance with Texas law. Official bid documents must be obtained online. This is an informal solicitation.
