Description

Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Lake Orion, Michigan. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 55,000-square-foot educational facility; and fitness / recreation center.

The Charter Township of Orion is issuing a Request for Proposals ( RFP) from qualified demolition contractors to provide selective demolition, gymnasium preservation, and site restoration services for the former Pine Tree Elementary School property located at 590 Pine Tree Road, Lake Orion, Michigan. The Pine Tree property consists of approximately 11.5 acres and includes an approximately 55,000 square foot former school facility constructed in 1972-1973. The Township intends to preserve the existing gymnasium structure for future recreational and community use while demolishing the remaining school building. The purpose of this project is to safely separate and preserve the gymnasium, demolish the remaining structures, complete all necessary environmental compliance activities, restore and grade the site, and prepare the property for future community improvements Bonds: 5% Performance Bond.
