Description

Renovation of a laboratory facility in Batavia, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.

Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services required for the supply, installation, and testing of a stainless-steel argon gas pipeline system in support of the LBNF project. The pipeline shall transport argon from the surface Argon Receiving Facility, where it is converted from liquid to gaseous phase, through the Ross Shaft to the Central Utility Cavern at the 4850 Level. The system includes installation of an 8-inch diameter Schedule 10 pipeline from the Argon Receiving Facility to the Ross Shaft, transitioning to a 6-inch diameter Schedule 10 pipeline from the Ross Shaft collar to the 4850 Level, and returning to an 8-inch diameter Schedule 10 pipeline from the Ross Shaft to the Central Utility Cavern. Work also includes all required testing and verification to ensure the integrity and performance of the pipeline in accordance with project requirements. It is expected that the Argon Piping Supply, Installation and Testing Project will be awarded by October 10, 2026, and with an expected completion date of September 22, 2027.
