C&E Excavating is the company working on the demolition. ELKHART The old county courthouse facility in downtown Elkhart is close to being demolished, a project scheduled for completion by the end of the month, city officials said. The county paid for a significant portion of the demolition as a part of the transfer process, and before they could tear it down, they needed to do asbestos removal, said City Communications Director Alex Otto. _____________ Development of a new public parking structure with mixed-use development including residential units and commercial/retail frontage.
