The Work includes construction of a new water treatment facility, rehabilitation and removal of the existing well house, rehabilitation of existing wells, connection to the municipal system, and restoration of disturbed areas. Bidders are required to submit each bid with a certified check or a bidder's bond acceptable to the Owner in an amount of at least five percent of the total bid, payable without condition to the City of Palisade. If the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract or to provide the required bond within the specified days after the contract award, the certified check or bidder's bond will be forfeited as liquidated damages.
