The work on this project includes the replacement of the existing HVAC system and related work. The scope of work shall consist of the following; 1. Prior to the start of demolition work, measure and record the existing flow rates and pressures of the existing heating hot water pumps. A report shall be submitted to the Engineer summarizing the flows. 2. Demolition of the existing central heating hot water plant system, including the existing boilers/burners, pumps P-3&4, heating hot water piping, concrete pads, associated accessories, electrical power circuits and controls as indicated on the contract documents. 3. Existing chemical shot feeder and 1,200 gal expansion tank shall remain and NOT be demolished. 4. Provision of a new heating hot water plant system including condensing type hot water boilers, heating hot water pump P-3&4, heating hot water piping, associated accessories, unit heaters, electrical power circuits and controls as indicated on the contract documents. 5. The provision of a new Master Boiler Control Panel to control the boilers, pumps and accessories. The new Master Boiler Control Panel shall be seamlessly into the existing Building Management System (BMS). 6. The provision of new concrete pads to support the proposed interior equipment including but not limited to demolition of the existing pads and supports as indicated on the contract documents. 7. The provision of all related piping, valves, expansion tanks, air separators, wiring, and accessories as necessary to install the new equipment and as indicated on the contract drawings. The work shall also include all controllers, devices, sensors, wiring, programming, etc. required to operate the new and existing equipment in accordance with the sequence of operations. 8. The provision of new electrical power circuits (raceways, panel feed conductors, grounding assemblies, etc.) from the existing electrical panels to the new boilers, pumps, control panels, etc. as indicated in the contract documents. The new electrical power circuits shall include the provision of all new wiring, conduit, devices, circuit breakers, etc. to provide electrical power to the proposed new mechanical equipment as specified on the contract documents. 9. The provision of new underground heating and hot water piping from the boiler plant to a connection point (approximate) outside of the building foundation footprint and associated piping connections, fittings, pipe insulation, back fill, temporary trench restoration, and final asphalt restoration as shown on the construction plans. 10. The Contractor is responsible for the installation of all equipment, piping, valving, wiring, and insulation as indicated in the plans and specifications and as described herein. All equipment installation shall be performed in accordance with the Execution sections of the equipment specifications. 11. The contractor is responsible for all excavation and removal of all asphalt roadway, grass areas, and other areas necessitated by the installation of all underground exterior piping, as specified on the contract drawings. This work will not be measured for payment and there will be no separate payment made for any of this work. 12. Please note that it is the contractor's responsibility to receive and store all equipment until it is scheduled to be installed. Storage of equipment at the project site during the school year, either inside the building or exterior of the building, shall be at the discretion of the School District. The project limits are the following: In general, the project shall consist of one (1) base bid and one (1 ) alternate bid, and the project limits are described as follows: o The Base Bid shall include all work described above. o Alternate Bid No. 1 shall include all exclude all work associated with the installation of the underground heating hot water piping (section B-9.0 above) and include all other work described above.
