1. This Work includes the supply of all labour, materials, equipment and services required to complete the construction of erosion repairs, erosion protection, drainage improvements, and replacement retaining walls at Bridge No. B022 . 2. The Work is to take place at Bridge B022 as shown on the drawings. 3. The Work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Mobilization and demobilization. 2. Traffic and pedestrian accommodation and staging. 3. Work Site management including temporary construction facilities, providing and maintaining temporary access routes to the laydowns and work site, security, and protection of existing structures and utilities. 4. Preparation and implementation of an Environmental Construction Operations (ECO) Plan in accordance with the most recent ECO Plan Framework Document. 5. Install tree protection fencing and ground cover for root protection. 6. Preparation and establishment of laydown areas. 7. Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor shall supply any and all permits, labour, materials, equipment, tools, or incidentals not specifically mentioned, but necessary to complete the work at no separate or additional cost. 8. Preparation and establishment of a 1.8 m (min.) high temporary fence around the laydowns and 1.8 m high (min.) fenced gate at each trail access leading to Bridge B022. 9. Installation of all temporary erosion and sediment control measures necessary to prevent sediment from entering the creek for the duration of construction. 10. Maintenance of laydown areas, access routes, and other temporary facilities throughout construction. 11. Vegetation and tree removal for access preparation and retaining wall replacement, if required. 12. Take down and re-erecting existing fencing and/or barriers. 13. Removal and salvage of existing bridge deck and hand railing, if required. 14. Detailed documentation of each bridge deck and hand railing removed for the purpose of reinstallation. 15. Removal of existing timber retaining walls and disposal at a Class II landfill . 16. Removal/excavation of unsuitable materials at the erosion repair and retaining wall replacement including offsite disposal at a Class II Landfill. 17. Importing clay fill approved by the Engineer to be used as grading fill including. 18. Supply and installation of new gabion baskets as indicated on the Drawings. 19. Supply and placement of non-woven geotextile meeting the requirements of City of Edmonton Type B.
