The City of Rochester has entered into an exclusive six-month agreement with Landmark Development to evaluate the potential construction of a new downtown sports stadium on city-owned land currently occupied by a power plant slated for retirement. The mixed-use development could include a stadium for the Rochester Honkers baseball team along with additional elements such as housing, a soccer facility, and a hockey rink. The project remains in early due diligence stages with no funding committed yet, and further feasibility and environmental assessments are underway.
