Site work for a municipal facility in Storrs Mansfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
This pilot project includes the installation of a 550 kWAC ground mount fixed tilt solar array at the site of Parcel 8.23.1-4 on Discovery Drive in Mansfield, CT (pilot system installed on 8.23.1-4 will be on one acre only). The proposed system includes the installation of the array, and all required related systems up to the point of interconnection. The project will also include: Engineering (civil, electrical, structural) Survey/Geotech/Environmental Permitting Interconnection studies & fees. Tree clearing & grubbing. General demolition including debris removal, permits, basic cleanup. Heavy-duty commercial (8 foot) fencing with privacy slats. Rough grading on undeveloped land; includes bringing the site to a final design grade after construction. Erosion and sediment control. Site Restoration, including seeding. Fixed-tilt steel racking with driven pile foundations Inverters, consistent with current best practice for multi-MW ground-mounted PV systems. DC Equipment installation, including combiner functionality (string-level), wire, connectors, fusing, disconnects AC Electrical installation, including homeruns from inverters, pad-mount transformers, MV collection system (duct bank, cable). General conditions and supervision. Startup/Commissioning. Q&A (RFI) Due Date and Time July 8, 2026 2:00PM Construction is planned to start: October 2026 Construction Duration: 18 months.
