Public-side lead service line replacements (LSLRs) to comply with the Lead Service Line Replacement and Notification Act. All questions, either administrative or technical, shall be submitted via email to Tony Sperkowski at asperkowski@wheaton.il.us no later than July 28, 2025 at 11:00 am (CST). The City has a multi-year full LSLR program. The 2026 LSLR program consists of a total of approximately 50 publicside lead service line replacements. Work includes replacement of Public Lead Service Lines between the existing water main and the B-box in the parkway The project includes restoration of outside areas such as sidewalks, driveways, roadway patching and sodding which is described in the attached specifications. The work to be done under this contract includes but is not limited to; the providing of all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, services, incidentals, and related items necessary to complete the work in accordance with this specification and scope of work. All work is to be performed in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county and local laws, ordinances, and codes; and in accordance with the detailed Specifications included herein. The City may add, delete, or change the work locations or details of the marking layouts at any time during the work period, with at least two (2) working days prior notice to the Contractor. The Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The work consists of replacing approximately 50 lead water services, between the existing water main and the B-box in the parkway. Work also includes surface restoration items such as sidewalk, driveways, roadway patching and sodding. The average length of service, from the water main to B-box, is estimated to be 10 ft. for Near Side services and 45 ft. for Far Side service The breakdown of the 20% includes: 11% minority-owned businesses; 7% women-owned businesses; and 2% businesses owned by persons with a disability.
