Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

TPWD plans for the fully constructed park to include but not be limited to: o Park entry and monument signage o Electrical access gate(s) o Paved Roadways including low water crossing(s) o Gravel Roadways o Parkwide directional signage o Operational Facilities to include Park Headquarters, staff residences, park host sites, maintenance yard and supporting buildings o Day Use Facilities to include trailheads, multi-use trails, picnic areas, group pavilion(s), amphitheater, Nature Center, playground, wildlife viewing areas, restrooms, parking areas o Overnight Facilities to include developed and primitive camping areas, mini-cabins, screened shelters, restrooms and associated parking areas o Site utilities including a public water system, wastewater treatment facilities, electrical infrastructure, telecommunications infrastructure, radio tower and associated infrastructure o Sustainable systems o Site demolition o Historic structures renovation / reuse TPWD estimates the Pre-Construction effort for Construction Package 1 (Early Work Package) will begin in February 2027 and conclude in April 2027.
