The City of Grandview, Missouri is soliciting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, with the option to audit the financial statements for each of the four subsequent fiscal years. The audits must be conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, the U.S. General Accounting Office's Government Auditing Standards, the Single Audit Act of 1984 (as amended in 1996), and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget Single Audit requirements. The audit firm is required to express opinions on the fair presentation of the City's financial statements and supporting schedules, prepare the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), and provide a Single Audit Report if required. The City requires audit reports in both PDF format and five bound copies. The auditor is to communicate any reportable conditions in a management letter, assist with the Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of Achievement program, retain working papers for at least three years, respond to successor auditors’ inquiries, and aid the City as necessary during the contract. Proposals must demonstrate minimum qualifications, include specific proposal organization requirements, and provide separate sealed pricing information.
