Norfolk Naval Shipyard requires non-personal services to operate the on-site Security Destruction Center. The contractor will provide labor to operate Government-Furnished industrial disintegrators and heavy shredding units to safely destroy classified and sensitive materials. The scope of work includes secure receipt, logging, staging, and physical destruction of paper files and sensitive material in accordance with Department of Navy security protocols. Staffing requirements are one Lead (Material Coordinator) and four Operators (Material Handling Laborers). All contractor personnel must possess and maintain an active SECRET security clearance with Restricted Data (RD) access prior to the start of performance. Instructions are provided in the 'Security Destruction Center Combined Solicitation' attachment.
