Demolition, site work and renovation of a fire / police facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

location-11600 SW TURNPIKE HIGHWAY, MIAMI, FL 33176 The work in general consists of plans related to Fire Station and Kitchen Restoration to include, Demolition; Storefront; Windows; Doors; Garage Doors; Concrete; Framing & Drywall; Masonry; Stucco; Aluminum Insulated Panel with Screen Enclosure; Kitchen Cabinets & Equipment; Bunker Gear Equipment; Tree Removal ; Epoxy Terrazzo Flooring; Apparatus Bay Flooring; Fencing; Mechanical; Electrical ; Plumbing & Gas; and adjacent general restoration to the walls, floors, and ceilings that are impacted by the restoration. The project will be phased into two sections: Exterior and Interior. The contractor shall bid for two mobilizations periods and costs. Refer to information noted in PH.1 & PH.2. The new storefront, windows, doors and garage doors in the Apparatus Bay are to be MiamiDade County approved Impact Resistant with current NOA's. The scope is inclusive of removing the existing windows, doors, garage overhead doors with all the ancillary accessories, i.e. , security card access control systems, door sensors, electric door strikes, door hardware & lock systems to be replaced with new (refer to plans and specs for details in the door schedule). All repairs such as drywall , stucco, painting, caulking, shutter removal , window shades removal and reinstallation associated with new windows and doors replacement are to be included in the bid price. Existing exterior roll-up doors are also to be removed and replaced with County approved FBC system and meeting the wind load calculations, to include motorized lift, new photo eye sensors, exhaust system contacts, wall patching and painting to match existing. New exterior swing doors are to be primed and painted with direct to metal (DTM ) Sherwin Williams paint provided and applied by the contractor. After window replacement and hurricane shutter removal, the contractor shall patch , seal, and paint all walls to match existing. The impacted interior finishes listed on the plans, and mentioned above, shall be continuous throughout the restored areas and finished as new or to match existing surroundings and adjacent conditions. The existing mechanical duct work shall remain , except as noted on the Mechanical Drawings. (Note: There will be modifications to the supply & return duct, Mechanical Room, Bunker Gear Room , and Proposed Dining Room, as well as installation of electrical and plumbing & gas). Contractor to be familiar FFE's, and Dedicated Allowance for this project. The Apparatus Bay resinous flooring on existing concrete flooring and resurfacing noted on the plans & specification 09 67 00, approximately 2000 square feet. STOREFRONT, WINDOWS & DOORS REPLACEMENT - PH . 1 Contractor responsible for field verifying all dimensions. The scope is inclusive of removing the existing storefront, windows & doors with sealants and all the ancillary accessories accompanies , i.e. , security card access reader systems, existing hurricane shutters, door sensors, electric door strikes, existing door hardware & lock systems to be replaced with new (refer to plans and specs for details on door schedule remarks), window shades, stucco patching, caulking, painting, etc. The proposed new storefront, windows & doors are to be Miami-Dade County approved Impact Resistant with current NOA's, per the bid set drawings by Ingelmo Associates - PA. Apply E-level windows and storefront door manufacturers as noted on the plans. The Storefront shall be 3-point locking mechanism with concealed vertical rods and must be connect to the security card access system. Approved Alternate Product: Contractor proposed alternate for Storefront, and Windows must be E- Level product and an authorized manufacturer accepted by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) and the Engineer of Record . The Contractor shall submit a Request for Information (RFI) during the bid process for an approved equal alternate to be accepted by MDFR and the Engineer of Record . The Contractor will be responsible for payment to the A/E related to revision of plans and calculations due to the alternate product change. The project will be phased into two sections: Exterior and Interior. The contractor shall bid for two mobilizations periods and costs. Refer to information noted in PH.1 & PH.2.
