Site work, paving and renovation of a recreation facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility; for paving for a 108,585-square-foot recreation facility; and for site work for a recreation facility.
Rehabilitate asphalt parking lots (approx. 108,585 sf), replace broken parking bumpers, stripe parking lot, install new ADA parking signs. The Pre-Bid meeting is not mandatory, but highly encouraged to attend SCOPE OF WORK: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work.) CONTRACTOR shall review all documents, specifications, and scope of work provided by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department for work to be completed. Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to comply with the intent of the WORK described in the contract documents including but not limited to: Rehabilitate asphalt parking lots (approx. 108,585 sf), replace broken parking bumpers, stripe parking lot, install new ADA parking signs. -234 Install asphalt overlay to standard 1 to 1.5-inch asphalt overlay (approx. 108,585 sf). All connections to adjoining surfaces shall be key cut to allow for a clean, smooth/level finish transition. No separation or trip hazards will be accepted. Finished leveling course asphalt shall be free of ponding, bird baths, or standing water. Acceptable puddles shall be shallow enough to dry within 2 to 3 hours after rain stops. All asphaltic concrete shall be Hot Mix Leveling Course fine type SP HMA mix Type SP-9.5 applied at 1 to 1.5 inches (SPEC 334, 339). All new concrete shall comply with Resolution R-1053-09 (Green Procurement Preference); Report on Miami-Dade County Green Purchasing Guide and be composed of a recycled aggregate. . Remove root intrusions, root prune and repair subbase where needed. New asphalt shall have temporary painted striping and symbols until asphalt cures then contractor shall apply thermoplastic striping throughout. Contractor shall replace all ADA parking signs and posts. Contractor shall replace all parking bumpers within the parking areas (not parking bumpers serving as curbing along sides of drive and outlining parking areas. All new parking bumpers shall be pinned with two standard #4 x 12 inch rebar pins per bumper. Contractors shall take ownership of all construction debris and dispose of it off site in accordance with local laws and regulations. Construction debris must be removed daily. Contractor shall restore all areas affected by the construction process to match existing see spec 575. 14. The contractor shall be responsible for all MOT including pedestrian and bicycle traffic. All Requests for Information (RFI) must be submitted electronically, in word format, by 07/28/2026 to Roberto.Ciprian@miamidade.gov and a copy filed with the Clerk of the Board at clerkbcc@miamidade.gov NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. RFIs submitted after the specified deadline may not be attended to.
