The SOMArts ADA Barrier Removal Project aims to improve public accessibility to the building's first and second floors. The work includes installing a new hydraulic LULA (Limited Use Limited Access) lift with an associated machine room and stair, as well as providing accessible restroom upgrades and a new drinking fountain on the first floor. On the second floor, the project makes related modifications to accommodate the new lift and stair, including relocating the existing kiln . Along with these accessibilityfocused improvements, the project includes limited aesthetic upgrades such as new restroom flooring, with an optional bid alternate to renew the main hall floor with a durable epoxy coating, all as shown on the drawings and as specified in these Specifications. LBE Subcontractor Participation Requirement is 16% LBE.
