Design and construction of a new 13,941 square foot Air Traffic Control Tower to replace the existing aging and deficient tower, including demolition of the existing Air Traffic Control Tower B3600 and Simulator B3601. The project requires providing all management, tools, supplies, materials, equipment, transportation, and trained labor necessary to complete the work. The new tower will be appropriately sited relative to the existing flight pattern, airfield, and supporting facilities and will support Air Traffic Control operations and training missions. The facility will include a control cab accommodating a minimum of six controller stations with additional space for trainers, a simulator room, offices, administrative work areas, training room, ready/break room, unisex toilet rooms, storage rooms, electronic equipment rooms, and all required building support spaces for the tower shaft and control cab. The project includes relocating the tower from its current remote location, which has limited visibility and poor connections to supporting facilities, to a new site that provides clear visibility of the entire flight pattern and all ground movement areas, and close proximity to supporting facilities including the Airfield Operations Building/Radar Approach Control Facility.
