Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Coachella, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
Realignment and widening of Avenue 50 from two to four lanes; realignment of Tyler Street; installation of new traffic signal system; construction of a five-span bridge over the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel; removal and reconstruction of Concrete Slope Protection (CSP); removal and reconstruction of the CV/Link multimodal pathway; installation of new waterlines; reconstruction of concrete curb, gutter, and driveways; placement of hot mix asphalt pavement; installation of traffic signs, pavement markings, and striping. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. The Project consists of the realignment and widening of Avenue 50, expanding the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane arterial facility, together with the realignment of Tyler Street on the west side of the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel (CVSC). The Work also includes installation of a new traffic signal system at the intersection of Avenue 50 and Tyler Street to enhance traffic operations and public safety.
