Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Charleston, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Construction of approximately 64,000 total linear feet of 8-inch, 6-inch, and 2-inch water lines, including Horizontal Directional Drilling river and stream crossings, installation of valves, fire hydrants, air release valves, blow-off assemblies, and service connections. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Certified Check required. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials (except as herein noted), equipment and means to construct the pipeline(s) and other Work as described in the Contract Documents and shown on the Drawings. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Pavement removal, including saw cutting, as required. Furnishing of flagmen, traffic warning and control as required. Sheeting, bracing and supporting adjoining ground where necessary. A. Erosion and sediment control. Disposal of construction debris. F. Furnish and install thrust blocking and rodding as required. G. Handling drainage and groundwater removal. H. Guarding the site. Compaction of backfill material. Compaction testing, if required by WVDOH or Engineer. Restoration of paved surfaces and curbing. Removal of surplus excavated material . Borrowing suitable backfill material, as needed. Performance of pressure and leakage tests. Disinfection of pipeline. Site cleaning. Maintenance of street or other surfaces for the required period of time. Ground restoration and planting. Submitting schedules, shop drawings stormwater and pollution prevention records and as-built records. All other items required for a complete installation. The Work to be bid upon is generally described as follows: Contract A: Construction of approximately 31,000 linear feet ( LF) of 8-inch, 6-inch, and 2-inch water line along with associated appurtenances (i.e., gate valves, fire hydrants, air release valves and blow-off assemblies) including approximately 1,600 LF of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) river and stream crossings, and approximately 61 new service connections. Contract B: Construction of approximately 33,000 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch, 6-inch and 2-inch water line along with associated appurtenances (i.e., gate valves, fire hydrants, air release valves, and blow-off assemblies) including approximately 28 new service connections. All access to the Site other than during a regularly scheduled Site visit must be coordinated through the following Owner or Engineer contact for visiting the Site: Potesta & Associates, Inc. Bidder must conduct the required Site visit during normal working hours.
