Renovation of an educational facility in Waterloo, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work generally consists of replacing two existing rooftop units that provide tempered supply air and exhaust air for the kitchen hoods with two new makeup air handling units and two new exhaust fans at Claudette Millar Hall (CMH) at the University of Waterloo. The scope also includes replacing the existing Spring Air kitchen control panels and integrating the new equipment into the control system. The form of agreement shall be the CCDC2-2008 edition complete with Owner Supplementary Conditions. Bids must be submitted online and the pricing type is lump sum. Pre-qualification requirements: Contractors must demonstrate that they are currently on a Vendor of Record list for any Post-secondary Education Institution or Publicly Funded School Board for projects over $0.5M in construction value (excluding HST). Contractors must provide a completed CCDC 11 – 2016 form listing a minimum of three projects with similar complexity and scope, a WSIB Workplace Injury Summary Report certificate indicating injury statistics for the last five years. References and Health and Safety Program details will be requested. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
